St. Louis police seek public's help in identifying bank robbery suspect

(KMOV.com) -- St. Louis police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle and the suspect believed to have been involved in a bank robbery in south St. Louis last Tuesday.

On July 3rd, a man walked into the U.S. Bank in the 5300 block of Southwest Avenue and demanded money.  The suspect and the suspect’s vehicle were captured on the bank’s camera system.  Police have not been able to identify the suspect or the vehicle and they are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s, approximately 5’10” tall with a thing build.  He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, long-sleeve collar shirt, dark pants and tennis shoes.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as an older model red Jeep Cherokee.

CrimeStoppers is offering a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.  Anyone with information is asked to call 1-866-371-TIPS.  Callers can remain anonymous.
