ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) – St. Louis County Department of Revenue officials are in hot water once again.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that an oversight on property tax bills will result in a $2 million shortfall for the Metropolitan Sewer District. The county says it plans to get the money back next year with an additional surcharge.

Earlier in December, the department’s new tax collector resigned over failure to pay her own personal property taxes since 2008.
