(KMOV.com) -- With the Cardinals competing in the next round of the playoffs, businesses will continue to see revenue boost with millions of dollars being generated.

St. Louis Regional Chamber estimated that the National League Division Series helped bring more than $5 million per game to St. Louis.

Local vendors are now getting ready for the next rush of Cardinals fans flocking to the stadium this weekend and laying down big bucks to show their support.

“You’ve got your normal games and then you’ve got the playoffs,” said food vendor Nancy Weldy, “We’ve been selling out since the playoffs have been going on. With baseball you always have to err on the side of caution, so stock up.”

Business owners said they have to be prepared for not only before the game, but also for the rush after the game.

One business owner said he sees nearly a 30 percent jump in customers with playoff baseball, so small businesses certainly root for the Cardinals.
