(KMOV.com) -  News 4 cameras caught four cars failing to stop at a stop sign in north St. Louis Friday.

The stop sign is for traffic on Bircher Ave near Interstate 70. Traffic should stop there so drivers exiting Interstate 70 can safely merge into traffic on Bircher.  Nearby residents said this has been a very dangerous area because drivers do not stop at the stop sign and speed as well.

“Cars fly off the highway,” said Terrance Washington.

Police said statistics show there are very few accidents at the stop sign, but residents said it is only a matter of time before something bad happens.
