(KMOV) – The second of two major outlet malls that opened within weeks of each other in Chesterfield earlier this year is already set to expand, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

St. Louis Premium Outlets, located just off Long Rd., is adding at least 20 stores to its complex.

According to the report, the ownership group for the outlet submitted plans to the city in September. The plans are still under review and will have to pass through the Chesterfield City Council.

If the plans are passed, it may lead to more issues finding a place to park on the complex’s parking lot, which is already at maximum capacity a majority of the time.

Chesterfield Police say there is an internal pattern or a design problem on the mall property and have already met with mall management to see what can be done to make things better parking-wise.

St. Louis Premium Outlet officials said they have been working on a plan to improve the flow of traffic during busy weekends, including off-site parking and shuttle services.
