(KMOV) – Police are hoping surveillance video can help catch a driver who killed a 50-year-old man in a hit-and-run wreck in Kirkwood on Sunday night.

Authorities were called to the 400 block of N. Kirkwood Rd., just south of Bodley, and found the victim lying in the street.

He was transported to Mercy Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Additional information regarding the victim was not immediately available.

Police say they are still trying to locate the vehicle involved.  Recently viewed video surveillance from the area shows a suspect’s vehicle as a two-tone mini-van, possibly a Ford Windstar.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered through Crimestoppers for an arrest of the driver involved.  An additional private reward of $10,000 is being offered by the victim’s family for an arrest and conviction.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Kirkwood Police Department at (314) – 822-5858.
