(KMOV.com) -- Police are searching for two suspects after an attempted "smash and grab" robbery at a jewelry store in St. Louis.

The attempted break-in happened at Jewels on Hampton, located in the 4500 block of Hampton, around 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Al Bruton, the store's owner, said surveillance video shows the two men throwing a chunk of concrete at the window. The tempered glass did not break, and the suspects fled the scene.

"I feel lucky but upset," said Bruton. "We're just honest businessmen trying to make a living, and they're just trying to destroy everything that we're doing."

Bruton has multiple cameras installed inside and outside his store. He offered a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
