(KMOV.com) – Police have released surveillance photos of suspects in a shooting that occurred in west St. Louis early Tuesday morning.

The photos of the suspects were taken at a Steak n’ Shake restaurant police say the men were at before the shooting occurred.

Police say three people were inside a vehicle that had just turned left onto Southwood from S. Skinker when a vehicle that had been tailing them made a U-turn.

A person in the other vehicle then started firing shots towards the victims.

A 23-year-old man in the front passenger seat was struck in the upper back. The other two occupants, a 23-year-old woman and 24-year-old man, were not hit. The victim was taken to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.

The suspect's vehicle escaped going south on Skinker.

Police describe the first suspect as a man in his mid to late 20s, five foot eight inches tall, with a dark complexion and short hair. Authorities describe the second suspect as man in his mid to late 20s, with a beard, light complexion, and short hair. Authorities said the second suspect was also wearing a hat.

According to authorities, the shooting stemmed from an argument at the Steak ‘n Shake earlier in the night.
