(KMOV.com) – Police have identified a teenager who was killed in a hit-and-run wreck in St. Charles County on Wednesday.

St. Charles Police said 17-year-old Tyler Pinner was hit by a truck at Oak Forest Drive at Laura Hill Road shortly before 4 p.m. in unincorporated St. Charles County.

Pinner was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead around 10 p.m.

Police said the driver who struck the victim left the scene of the wreck.

O’Fallon police said officers later stopped two 19-year-old men about a mile away from the scene of the accident. They were taken into custody.

Three juveniles were arrested in connection with the incident around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities said they believe all five were in the truck when Pinner was struck.
