(KMOV) – Police say a stolen gun was found inside a woman’s vehicle after she was arrested for driving drunk in Clayton earlier this year.
Kaitlin Shelton, 19, was charged with two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, receiving stolen property and driving while intoxicated.
According to court documents, Shelton was driving near the intersection of Big Bend and Southmoor on Jan. 21 when she was pulled over for a traffic violation.
Authorities said she looked intoxicated and performed field sobriety tests, which she failed. She then blew a 0.141 percent BAC, according to police.
Police said they searched her vehicle and found two loaded handguns within Shelton’s reach.
Authorities said one of the firearms, a Raven .25 caliber handgun, was stolen property.
