Police: 4 suspects steal from cars in Wentzville to fuel drug habit

(KMOV.com) – Police told News 4 they have four suspects in custody who allegedly stole several items from unlocked cars in Wentzville.

James Snarzyk, 28, of O’Fallon, Mo. and Shawn Gross, 28, of Wentzville are facing felony charges in connection with a series of thefts from cars in six Wentzville subdivisions that occurred in late April and early May. Police said they have also arrested two woman who have not been charged yet.

Authorities allege all four suspects stole guns and other items in order to fuel a heroin habit.

Police said they retrieved and returned many of the stolen items to their owners, but have yet to find a 9-millimeter semi-automatic handgun that was taken.
