No charges issued after local juvenile jumps on school resource officer's back during fight

(KMOV.com) -- A St. Louis County officer was jumped on Wednesday when he attempted to break up a fight at Jennings Junior High School.

According to St. Louis County Police Information Officer Randy Vaughn, officers received a call about the fight just after 3 p.m.. When the school's resource officer arrived on scene,  a male suspect reportedly jumped on the officer's back and brought him to the ground.

Authorities say the male suspect and a female are both in police custody. It is unknown the age or involvement of the female in custody.

No charges have been filed at this time.

According to police, no one was injured in the fight. What led to the fight is unknown.
