(KMOV.com) – St. Louis Police are investigating two shootings that occurred early Sunday morning.
According to reports, police received a call around 1:40 that a shooting occurred in the 5400 block of Dr. Martin Luther King. Reports indicate that a 26-year-old male was trying to break up a fight between two groups of females when he was shot in the leg.
In a separate shooting, a 26-year-old Hispanic man was struck in the ankle just before 2:00. The victim told police that a fight broke out outside of a bar in the 3300 block of Olive near SLU prior to the shooting. The victim told police he walked away from the fight when a Puerto Rican man wearing a black shirt, black hat and blue jeans pulled out a gun and shot the victim.
In both cases, the victims were transported to area hospitals where they were listed in stable condition. Neither victims’ identity has been released.
