(KMOV.com) -- Police have taken a suspect into custody after a shooting on Laclede's Landing that left one man seriously wounded.
Officers responded to shots fired near the intersection of North 2nd and Morgan St. just before 3 a.m. Saturday.
According to police, a 31-year-old man became involved in a fight with one of three male victims in a parking lot. Authorities say the suspect then retrieved a gun, and began firing at the three victims as they drove away.
The gunfire struck a 22-year-old man in the upper arm. He was transported to a local hospital in critical, but stable condition.
Two 24-year-old women were parked nearby when the shooting began. The roof and back window of their car were reportedly struck by gunfire, but the women were not injured.
Officers working supplemental patrol heard the gunshots and responded from two blocks away. Authorities say the suspect's gun was recovered at the scene.
The names of the victims involved have not be released. An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
