IRVINGTON, Il (KMOV.com) – Fire personnel evacuated residents along a section of Interstate 64 in Washington County Tuesday night.
According to officials, a tanker truck carrying a toxic material was leaking on the interstate near the Centralia exit.
It is not believed to be an extremely volatile material, but they are evacuating homes that are within a small radius around the leaking truck as a precaution The interstate was shut down while crews offloaded the leaking material into another tanker.
