(KMOV.com)  – Residents of a north St. Louis County municipality had trouble navigating the streets after freezing rain fell Monday.

News 4 received multiple complaints from Dellwood residents, who said they had trouble driving on the streets due to the icy conditions. News 4 tracked down City Administrator Cordaryl Patrick, who said the city ran out of salt after the most recent snowfall.

Patrick said the city has been trying to restock its supply, and has asked surrounding municipalities for salt but has been turned down. The company that Dellwood orders its salt from told News 4 the new supply is sitting on a barge at the riverfront but has not been brought on land by the company that unloads barges.
