(KMOV) – The Warrenton Fire Protection District was called in after a vehicle crashed into a building at the Warren County Fairgrounds during a mud run Saturday night.

The building was unoccupied, but was storing 4-H projects for visitation by fair attendees. Both the WFPD and Hawk Point fire crews were able to extinguish a small fire in the vehicle and rescue the driver.

Two people were injured during the crash, but their condition was not released. A bystander had minor injuries, but refused to be transported by ambulance.

Investigators with the Warrenton Police Department said the cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
