HIGHLAND, Ill. (KMOV) -- Residents at more than a dozen homes and farms just outside of Highland, Illinois are cleaning up after powerful storms thundered through that area Friday evening.

A dairy farm suffered serious damage to several out buildings, while homes along a two mile stretch suffered roof and structural damage.  The area is littered with debris, including large pieces of steel roofing materials.  Numerous trees were uprooted and limbs brought down by the storm.

The scene is about four miles east of Highland, Illinois along St. Rose Road in southwest Madison County.  There were no reports of injuries.
