ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- The St. Louis City Streets Department said more parking is available in south St. Louis.
Six additional parking meters have been installed in the area of Gravois and Itaska.
Residents can also see “No Parking” signs to better designate the sides of the street.
Residents and business owners complained about the availability of parking spots.
Some said the parking signs were a bit confusing.
“They were getting tickets they felt they were unfair,” said Todd Waelterman of the St. Louis City Streets Department, “so were felt we had to make a clearer message on where they can and can’t park.”
The streets department said they are also evaluating other neighborhoods to make sure there aren’t similar issues.
