(KMOV) – A woman in Montgomery County was arrested after she allegedly filed a false police report saying she was robbed by a man impersonating a police officer.

Authorities say Cheri A. Frisbie, 29, alerted them Tuesday evening after she said she was pulled over on Route 16 between Irving and Witt and was robbed.

Frisbie said a black, unmarked police-style car with lights pulled her over, and demanded cash using a semi-automatic pistol. Authorities were notified and began searching the area, but did not find the suspect.

During the investigation, Frisbie admitted she lied about the entire event and nothing like that had happened.

Police arrested Frisbie and she was charged with disorderly conduct-filing a false police report and obstructing justice.
