(KMOV.com) – Officials told News 4 MetroLink was down in Midtown St. Louis after someone was hit by a train Thursday night. 

Authorities said someone was hit by a train near Grand and Sarpy. The transit train was shut down between the Central West End and Grand stations. Metro told passengers to expect delays of up to one hour.

Authorities said the victim was conscious and breathing when they arrived. Other details about the victim's condition were not released.

MetroLink was reopened around 1:00 a.m. Friday.
