WATERLOO, Il (KMOV.com) –The Waterloo Police Department and Monroe County Sheriff’s Department are looking for a vehicle involved in suspicious activity in several communities in Monroe County.

Authorities are searching for a white male possibly driving a white Chevrolet Silverado after receiving reports of three separate incidents within the past month.

On or around July 13, a mother was walking with her son and five-year-old daughter when a white male in a white pickup truck slowed down and was reportedly staring at the daughter, according to police.

The driver then sped off when the mother approached the truck. The mother described the driver as being in his 30’s or 40’s with a “scruffy” appearance.

On July 25, near the Gilmore Lake Estates, a complaint was made about a white male in a white pickup truck with a toolbox in the bed of the truck.

The truck pulled into a driveway and started asking questions to a seven-year-old girl about where she lived. The male then exited the truck and asked her another question as the girl ran into her neighbor’s house. The male then returned to his truck and left the area.

Thursday morning in Hecker, Il, a white male in a white Chevy Silverado followed a juvenile male for several blocks, police said.

The white male drove off after the juvenile ran toward a neighbor’s house. The white male was described as having a mustache and aged in his 40’s. He also had a dog in the passenger seat. The dog was described as a larger dog, possibly a lab mix.

Police say there hasn’t been a crime committed, but they do want to talk to the individual involved.

Police remind the public to report any suspicious activity by calling Monroe County police dispatch at 618-939-8651.
