(KMOV) -- Police have identified the body of a 55-year-old Clayton man discovered Saturday morning.

On Saturday, December 14, authorities say John Freskos was discovered lying face down on the ground by a person walking in a grassy area neighboring the 7400 block of Forsyth Blvd.

Freskos was pronounced dead at the scene.  However, police were unable to find any visible signs of trauma.

An autopsy revealed Freskos had died of hypothermia after accidentally falling and severely injuring himself, preventing him to get help.

Additional information was not immediately available.
