(KMOV) – A man was injured after falling from the second story of Ballpark Village early Saturday morning.
In a statement released by Ballpark Village representatives, officials say the young man fell while trying to slide down a railing from the second floor to the first floor.
"Our security team responded quickly and we were able to get the young man the prompt medical attention he required," the statement read.
The man was transported urgently to the hospital. His exact condition was unknown.
“We are in the process of investigating the circumstances of the incident and talking to eye witnesses to further understand what happened,” officials said in the statement.
Ballpark Village officials told News 4 servers are trained to know when not to serve alcohol to someone who is already intoxicated.
For the grand opening, a special agent from Missouri Alcohol and Tobacco control came down and did three separate training sessions for all of the employees at Ballpark Village," said COO Jim Watry.
Watry also said the fall was an isolated incident.
