(KMOV) – A St. Louis developer is under contract to turn the lot formerly owned by Chrysler to an industrial park in Fenton.

K.P. Development announced they will work on a master plan to turn the vacant 300 acres of land along Interstate 44 into an industrial and office park.

The company says they will begin lining up potential companies to bring jobs to the area.

“Because it's so early we haven't had specific talks, we've just had general conversations and the feedback has been good,” said Terry Barnes of K.P. Development.

Insiders also tell News 4, this industrial plan also kills any possibility of the Rams getting a football stadium on the site.
