(KMOV) -- As Ballpark Village keeps drawing crowds around Busch Stadium, the loss of customers is being felt at surrounding businesses.
"Everybody is down 20 to 30 percent, if not more," said Andrea Ervin, owner of nearby O’Kelley’s.
O’Kelley’s and other places have had to cut back on staff to deal with the shrinking business.
At Paddy O’s, one of the original stadium bars near the ballpark, there have also been staff cats.
"We've seen a decline in business for sure,” saod manager Rob Colie.
Ballpark Village opened in 2014 after years of delays and only after tax incentives were guaranteed for the project.
Small business owners around Busch now say their only goal is to remain in business by the time baseball season ends.
