(KMOV.com) -- Search crews in Illinois are hoping to find a missing 5-month-old boy.
Baby Joshua Summeries was reported missing Wednesday after his mother said she checked his crib and the baby was gone.
Police in the town of Zion, an hour north of Chicago, said the mother’s boyfriend is a person of interest.
Officers are searching a local landfill near the home and asking neighbors to check their trash cans for possible evidence.
“The last day or so, the search has been the emphasis. We still have not found baby Joshua,” said Zion Police Chief Wayne Brooks, “My hope is the baby’s alive, my fear is no.”
Cadaver dogs are also being used to search the landfill.
Neighbors said they heard the child’s mother and her boyfriend arguing just before the child was reported missing.
