Visitation for 10-year-old Hailey Owens held today

(KMOV) – Visitation will be held Tuesday for a 10-year-old Springfield girl who was allegedly kidnapped and killed last week.

The visitation for Hailey Owens will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Springfield. Her funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m., also at the church.

Hundreds of motorcycle riders converged on Springfield, Mo. Sunday to show an outpouring of support for Owens’ family.  Adorned with pink and purple ribbons, 1,500 riders hit the road starting at the American Legion on Scenic. The ride then circled the city of Springfield.

On Saturday, thousands of people showed up in Springfield for a vigil

Craig Michael Wood, 45, is charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping in the fourth-grader’s death after police say her body was found in his basement.

He is being held without bond.
