ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- Trooper, the puppy who was rescued after being dragged by a truck down I-55, will be featured at the Humane Society of Missouri’s Second Chance Telethon Wednesday night.
The Second Chance Marathon will be air Wednesday night from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on KMOV.
The two hour event will showcase the Humane Society’s role in helping rescue and rehabilitate animals. This is the Humane Society’s most important fundraiser.
“The Society doesn’t receive any tax support. Nor any United Way funding,” said Humane Society of Missouri President Kathy Warnick, “We rely solely on contributions for our support.”
Warnick also said the telethon is a wonderful way to show viewers what’s happening at the Humane Society and where their money is being spent.
Virginia Kerr and Jasmine Huda will host the telethon.
