CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — The pilot of a helicopter that crashed in southeast Missouri walked away from the incident and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Cape Girardeau County sheriff's spokeswoman Ruth Ann Dickerson says the helicopter went down on County Road 203 shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday after hitting a direct line — not a full power line — leading into a barn or house.
She says the pilot got out of the helicopter on his own power. No other details were immediately available Thursday afternoon.
