(KMOV) – The storms that rolled through St. Louis on Saturday left a trail of debris in St. Peters, including downed tree limbs, uprooted trees, and fences ripped in half.

“I’m just blessed that I’m here,” said Cindy, a resident of St. Peters. “My family is okay, my neighbors, everybody is good. That’s all that matters.”

Another resident, Marlene Meers said she was at a funeral when the storms hit her home. The storms destroyed her room, but she said her family is helping her fix the repairs tonight.

One tree was uprooted on Woodbriar and Shirewood. The reported tornado came up the street, back down, turned around, and went back down the street, according to eye witness reports.

People living in St. Peters say they are resilient, especially after a storm tore through their community on May 31st 2013.
