Glen Carbon man charged after allegedly moving drugs through mail

(KMOV) – A Glen Carbon man is may spend seven years in prison after he was allegedly moving drugs through the mail.

Evan Schaefer, 22, has been charged with unlawful possession with intent to deliver when police found almost $1,000 of marijuana in the mail.

Authorities were notified after a postal inspector in St. Louis County noticed a suspicious package being shipped to an unverified address. Using a drug dog, police were able to find marijuana inside the package.

According to police, Schaefer also possessed Oxycodone and a muscle relaxer. He is scheduled to be in court later this week.
