ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Gasoline prices are up again in the St. Louis area and other parts of Missouri, but experts expect prices to stabilize soon.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded rose 10 cents overnight Tuesday, then four cents more on Thursday, at most St. Louis-area locations. The average price now is $3.57 -- 21 cents higher than a month ago.

AAA Auto Club officials say gas prices tend to go up as spring arrives. AAA's Mike Right says prices rise in spring as refineries scale down for maintenance and convert from winter gasoline to summer fuel.

Right expects prices to level off by around Memorial Day.
