St. Charles County, Mo. (KMOV) – A book about sexual education is staying in the Francis Howell School District after hundreds of parents tried to have it removed.

The book titled “It’s Perfectly Normal: Changing Bodies, Growing Up, Sex and Sexual Health” had some parents of students at Barnwell Middle School upset because it contains naked images of adults and teens engaged in sexual acts and is inappropriate for their kids.

The school district originally reviewed the situation and decided to keep the book as an online edition with the option for parents to request their child not have access to it.

Parents continued fighting for the school board to review the decision which they did on Thursday night.

According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, the school board decided in a 4 to 2 vote to keep the book.
