(KMOV.com) -- Fire crews rescued an elderly man from a medical bed inside a house fire in north St. Louis early Saturday morning.
Firefighters responded to the blaze at Parkland Place and found an elderly man confined to the mechanical bed. Crews made sure the man was safe and then put out the fire.
Upon entering, firefighters discovered there were no smoke detectors in the home. They then installed new smoke detectors.
According to officials, the fire caused minor damage to the third floor of the building.
No one was injured in the fire, however the cause is unknown.
