(KMOV.com) – The St. Louis Board of Aldermen is considering legislation that would help preserve historic buildings.
Supporters said the Cupples 7 building, which was torn down in July, could have been saved under this proposal. The city pad $482,000 to demolish it. The current bill under consideration will allow the city to compile a list of buildings and work with owners to save them.
People would also be able to make suggestions to the city about which buildings need to be preserved.
