OLIVETTE, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- The City of Olivette will be giving a presentation and tour of the of the municipal building Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
The city says the tour is meant to show residents that they have inadequate space, outdated amenities and safety code concerns in their current municipal building. Olivette residents will be able to vote on a proposition on August 7 that would help these concerns.
Proposition S proposes moving the city administration offices and the police department be moved to another building on Olive Boulevard while renovating the current building. The city would also build a new fire house.
The city says the current building does not provide enough working or training space and does not meet state code requirements.
The city will hold 2 more public forums and tours July 31 at 7 p.m. and August 5 from 1-4 p.m.
