(KMOV.com) St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson’s Twitter Town Hall focused on the public’s concern of drones.
Police say that of the 80 times the chief tweeted during Monday’s 90 minute session more than half had to do with drones, a new type of technology that would fly high above all of us.
Chief Dotson stresses that drones would be used to monitor public areas, similar to a helicopter but much cheaper.
The chief says the city is stuill in the very early stages of the idea. If the city were to start using drones it would happen in the next year to year and a half.
