ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – Cardinals fans are bound to notice some new offerings at Busch Stadium when they attend the defending world champions’ home opener on Friday.

Busch Stadium has made several improvements in the offseason, including 106 solar panels  installed on the ticket building roof and a concession canopy in Ford Plaza. Stadium officials say the panels will produce enough electricity to power every retail store for nearly a year.

The most noticeable of the stadium additions will be the new offerings at the Busch Stadium concession stands. Some of the new additions include rice and noodles at the Asian Café, sliders and fries, a sandwich stand called The Carvery and a newly-renovated Coke Island.

Busch is also bringing back the St. Louis Barbecue Bacon Dog and Build Your Own Nachos, which were made popular during the Cardinals’ historic World Series run against the Texas Rangers.

In the Cardinals Team Store, fans can “Go Gold” by buying Cardinals “Gold Program” apparel to commemorate the team’s World Series championship.
