PACIFIC, Mo. (KMOV) – Pacific High School was evacuated Thursday after school officials found a bomb threat scribbled in a boys’ bathroom.

School officials said just before 12 p.m., a staff member noticed some graffiti on a bathroom wall that said a bomb would go off at the school sometime between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday.

Officials said they initially thought it might be a prank, but they evacuated the school as a precaution.

Police and a K-9 unit from Lambert Airport came to the scene and searched the school for explosives. Nothing had been found in the school as of 4:10 p.m.

Pacific police responded to the scene and were searching the school for a bomb.

While many students had already gone home for the day, a number of people remained at the scene late Thursday afternoon waiting to retrieve personal items.

Additional details were not immediately available.
