ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- An unusual discovery was made near the future site of St. Louis' IKEA store Thursday.
Workers discovered human remains while bulldozing Thursday morning at the intersection of Sarah Street and Duncan Avenue in Midtown.
Workers stopped digging when the remains were found and called city officials.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene but determined there was no crime. The remains are believed to be from the 19th century.
The remains will receive a burial at Calvary Cemetery, as will any other remains found during the building process.
