SOUTH ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- On the same day police announced they were stepping up efforts to find the suspects responsible for attacks on two pizza delivery drivers, another driver has been attacked.

The 30-year-old male driver was delivering an Imo's pizza in the 4200 block of Virginia around 11:50 p.m. Friday. Police say the victim was attacked by two men who threatened to slit his throat, then robbed him. The man was stabbed in the neck during the incident, but the injury is said to be minor.

Police arrested the men believed to be responsible shortly after the incident. The suspects are two men ages 28 and 19.

Norman Hendrix, general manager of the Imo's Pizza on Spring, said items found inside an apartment linked the two men to the crime. Hendrix said officers spotted a trail of lettuce leading to the second floor of the apartment building, then found the driver's hat and delivery order inside the suspects' unit.

A female driver for Pizza Milano was attacked by two men on Thursday in the nearby 7100 block of Virginia. Police say the suspects hit her in the face with bricks and knocked her down, but did not steal anything from her.

Last Saturday, a man who works for Cecil Whittaker's was attacked at the same address in the 7100 block of Virgina. Police say the man was knocked unconscious and his car was stolen.

Investigators say they do not think the most recent attack is related to the others, but one official says he believes the suspects could be part of the same group.
