(KMOV) – Police are searching for a suspect who stole four guns from the vehicle of an arms company sales representative in downtown St. Louis Saturday afternoon.

A 24-year-old woman who works for Rhino Arms told police she parked and locked her vehicle in a lot in the 1400 block of Lucas Ave. around 1:30 a.m.

Police say when she returned to her vehicle later that day she saw the rear window was broken out and her belongings were thrown around.

She then opened her trunk and discovered an AR-15 rifle, Glock 9mm, Sig Saur 9mm and .45 caliber pistol had been stolen.

Authorities say the three handguns had been in a black backpack that was also taken. The backpack contained 100 rounds of 5.56 ammunition and 60 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

The assault rifle was unloaded and inside a rifle case.

The investigation is ongoing.
