St. Louis, Mo. (KMOV) –Authorities are searching for a suspect after a man was shot and an officer was injured Saturday afternoon.

“I was sitting at the light and it hadn’t changed yet,” said Georgia Brown Moore, a witness to the accident. “Then came all the rest of the police. They got out of their cars and didn’t know what was going on.”

The officer involved in the accident complained of back pain and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said the driver of the car they were pursuing was taken into custody, but the alleged shooter was not apprehended.

The shooting victim, a 24-year-old man, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Police are still searching for the shooter. The investigation is ongoing.
