(KMOV.com) – Two men were charged with murder for their involvement in the fatal hit and run wreck in St. Charles County on Wednesday.
Kevin Labraido Jr. and Robert Bathe both of O'Fallon, Mo. were charged on Thursday with second-degree accessory to murder and accessory stealing a controlled substance.
The investigation revealed that Bathe, Labraido and three juvenile suspects arrived at the victim Tyler Pinner's home around 4 p.m. in Bathe's truck to complete a pre-arranged drug deal.
When the suspects refused to pay for the substance, Pinner, 17, attempted to restrain their vehicle.
Bathe fled from the house with Pinner holding on to the driver's side of the vehicle.
Pinner dragged on the side of the truck for several feet but lost his grip as the vehicle suddenly turned to the left.
Police say Bathe ran over Pinner with his truck on Oak Forest Drive at Laura Hill Road before fleeing the scene.
Pinner was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead around 10 p.m.
Three juveniles were also arrested in connection with the incident around 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Further details into the investigation were not immediately known.
