(KMOV) -- A couple of rare, new additions are on display at the St. Louis Zoo.
Grevy zebras, Asante and Zuri came into the world in November and January.
Grevy zebras, which are natives of Kenya and Ethiopia are endangered. Their numbers in the wild have dwindled the last 30 years from 15,000 to 2,200.
Competition with other animals for food and water are said to be the main reason for their decline.
