(KMOV.com) -- In February, Parkway School Board voted to cut $8 million from the budget, eliminating 130 full-time positions.
A few months later, the district gave all of its administrators and department heads a two-and-a-half to three percent pay raise, including all 70 employees making more than $100,000 a year.
Parkway superintendent Keith Marty says overall administrative costs are down about $300,000, largely because other jobs were eliminated. Dr. Marty also accepted a $7,000 pay raise, and now makes $227 thousand a year, plus benefits that include $650 a month for a car allowance and 6 weeks paid vacation, plus holidays.
Now, News 4 has learned the district is planning more cuts.
