Former military officer rescues woman after car flips on I-55

A car flipped off of Interstate 55 and onto a side street in South City Thursday morning.

(KMOV) – A former military police officer rescued a female victim after her car flipped off of Interstate 55 and onto a side street Thursday morning.

Police said the 32-year-old former officer pulled over, ran to help the woman and cut her out of the car before emergency crews arrived.

Authorities said the driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

No serious injuries were reported.

 

No other details were immediately available.
