ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- A 10-year-old girl died in a fire that destroyed her family's St. Louis home.

The fire that killed Tegan Ledbetter started early Saturday either in the basement or on the first floor. The cause of the blaze is unknown.

The girl's 13-year-old sister, Crystal, was rescued through a second-story window.

Tegan's parents, Lawrence "Bud" McCall and Dawn McCall-Ledbetter, and two brothers, ages 6 and 17, escaped by going from a third-story window onto a flat second-story roof.

The father was able to drop himself to the ground, while firefighters reached the others with a ladder.

Tegan's body was found on her bed. Fire officials said her family members were taken to St. Louis hospitals and treated for smoke inhalation.

A family spokeswoman said all of the family's personal belongings were destroyed in the fire. The family asked for the following donations:

Lawrence "Bud" McCall: (Pant size: 48-inch waist/32-inch inseam, Shirt size: 3XL, Shoe size: 12)

Dawn McCall-Ledbetter: (Shirt and pant size: 26-28 (women) or 3XL, Shoe size: 11)

Joseph Ledbetter, age 17: (Pant size: 34-inch waist/36-inch inseam, Shirt size: L/XL, Shoe size: 13)

Crystal Ledbetter, age 13: (Shirt and pant size: 7-8 (women) or 14-16 (girl), Shoe size: 11)

Connor McCall, age 6: (Pant size: 32-inch waist/28-inch inseam, Shirt size: XL, Shoe size: 6)

The spokeswoman said Crystal likes books and Connor likes Spiderman-related items.

Donations can be dropped off beginning Monday at Mullanphy ILC Elementary School, 4221 Shaw Avenue, where Tegan was a student.

A trust fund would also be set up Monday to help the family, the spokeswoman said.
