(KMOV) – The mother of a murdered teenager made a stop in St. Louis to plead for help on Tuesday.

Maggie Zingman is traveling the country looking for leads that could help police find her daughter’s killer.

Eighteen-year-old Brittany Phillips was found raped and suffocated in her apartment in Tulsa, Oklahoma in September of 2004.

On Tuesday, her mother stopped in St. Louis on her “Caravan to Catch a Killer” journey.

She’s been on the road off and on for six years.

Detectives have the killer’s DNA, but so far, more than 2,000 regional DNA hits have not turned up a suspect.
